Our Ministries
Serving at SelwynAt Selwyn Outreach Centre, every ministry plays a vital role in serving God and building a strong, caring community. From the moment people arrive to the way services are experienced, each team works together with purpose and heart.
❋ Children's MinistryChildren are an important part of our church family! We provide childcare for children ages 1-4 during worship Sunday mornings. Then, starting at 11:00 a.m. we provide childcare for children ages 1-2 and Sunday School for children ages 3-12. During Sunday evening service there is also Super Church for children ages 4-12. Activities include: Bible stories, singing, crafts, games, special videos, skits, speakers and snacks.
❋ Youth MinistryOur two youth groups (ages 9-12 and ages 13 - end of high school) are a safe, fun, and welcoming place where youth can learn about their identity in Christ, get a sense of belonging, and grow in their faith. There are Bible teachings, games, special speakers, and many other fun activities.
❋ Prayer MinistryThe church is open every Monday—Friday from 7:00—8:00 a.m. for individuals to pray in the church sanctuary. We meet as a group every Saturday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. for prayer.
❋ Hospitality MinistryCreating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring everyone feels valued, comfortable, and at home. Their kindness and readiness to serve set the tone for worship and fellowship.
❋ Worship TeamThe Worship Team plays a central role at Selwyn Outreach Centre by leading the congregation into meaningful praise and worship. Through music, song, and a heart of service, they help create an atmosphere where people can connect with God, reflect, and respond in faith. Their commitment, preparation, and unity support the spiritual life of the church and enrich every service.
❋ Tech TeamWorks faithfully behind the scenes, managing sound, visuals, and digital support to ensure services run smoothly and messages are clearly shared. Their dedication helps bring worship and teaching to life.
